Description Conduct evaluations for pediatric, adult, and geriatric populations utilizing standardized assessments and observational insights. Create customized treatment strategies that cater to both short-term objectives and long-term communication, cognitive, or swallowing requirements. Deliver individualized speech therapy sessions focused on enhancing communication, language, fluency, voice, and swallowing skills. Team up with physical therapists, occupational therapists, nurses, physicians, caregivers, and families to develop cohesive and comprehensive care plans. Provide education for patients and families to bolster progress outside of scheduled clinical sessions. Assist with sporadic inpatient speech therapy evaluations and interventions, ensuring seamless continuity of care throughout the treatment spectrum. Maintain prompt and precise documentation consistent with state, federal, and organizational protocols. Remain informed on advancements in the field through ongoing education and collaboration with colleagues. Education Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution. Completion of a supervised Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) if not yet ASHA-certified. Certifications Valid state licensure as a Speech Language Pathologist. Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from ASHA is preferred. Basic Life Support (BLS) certification must be obtained within 30 days of employment. Skills Expertise in evidence-based treatment methodologies for all age groups, with a sound understanding of both developmental and acquired speech, language, and swallowing disorders. Strong interpersonal skills for effective communication with patients, families, and multidisciplinary care teams. Capacity to adapt therapeutic approaches to meet the diverse cultural and linguistic needs of clients. Robust clinical judgment and problem-solving skills.
