The sleep program coordinator works under the general supervision of the dental sleep director of the sleep program to ensure comprehensive evaluation and treatment of patients with obstructive sleep apnea disorders. The coordinator works with the dental sleep director to coordinate home sleep apnea testing, diagnostic and therapeutic interventions, comprehensive patient care and direct patient education. Furthermore, the sleep program coordinator assures timely billing for interpretation of sleep studies and sleep testing. Our new team member must be able and willing to work at all our locations, but will start in Auburn and Sterling, MA for now. Travel is REQUIRED. PURPOSE: Coordination of all Sleep services including but not limited to: Office visit/consultation and follow up visits with dental director of program. Oversee scheduling; Coordinate sleep testing to comply with patient needs and insurance requirements; Timely follow up of compliance visits In collaboration with the Sleep Program's Dental Director, develop and coordinate support for patient compliance including patient education In collaboration with Director of Marketing, coordinate education programs for referring physician and dental office staff, and internal dental staff Treatment plan presentation and gaining financial commitment from patients EXPERIENCE: Previous experience in dental or health care GENERAL SKILLS: Demonstrate computer skills appropriate for the position Demonstrate effective written and verbal communication skills Demonstrate appropriate social skills Demonstrate customer service skills Demonstrate critical thinking and ability to work with minimal supervision to analyze complex situations and apply policy Demonstrate teamwork skills Follow HIPAA and privacy policies to maintain the privacy and security of patient information Demonstrate ability to follow direction and flexibility to adapt Respond to sleep patients procedural-related inquiries by providing appropriate education and information Comply with professional standards of conduct Assist the dental director in all aspects of sleep and office operations The ability to clearly communicate with various venues in a professional and pleasantly interactive manner Ability to work with others and willingness to learn Flexible personality is a plus for the above skills Dedication to patient care and desire to advocate for patient needs SPECIFIC SKILLS: Ability and willingness to learn new computer programs and skills as needed Required knowledge of basic computer skills including but not limited to Word and Excel
