Job Description

Join a dynamic healthcare team in the heart of the Midwest region, providing compassionate and comprehensive care in a fast-paced walk-in clinic setting. This role involves collaboration with physicians, registered nurses, and other healthcare professionals to deliver holistic patient care. The Advanced Practice Nurse Practitioner/Physician Assistant (PA-C) operates within a collaborative management framework, diagnosing, managing, and preventing acute and chronic illnesses while promoting overall wellness. Position Responsibilities: Conduct patient screenings and examinations to assess the need for further healthcare or admission. Perform in-office procedures such as laceration repair, foreign body removal, and abscess drainage. Order and interpret diagnostic studies including laboratory tests, x-rays, and EKGs. Work 12-hour shifts in a busy, team-oriented environment. Review medical, surgical, and social histories to develop appropriate care plans. Prescribe and administer treatments including medications, injections, suturing, and wellness counseling. Adhere to OSHA standards and state medical board regulations. Participate in mandatory compliance and training programs, maintaining confidentiality and HIPAA compliance. Refer patients to primary care providers and disease management programs as needed. Meet clinical performance targets and contribute to interdisciplinary teams. Education: Master's degree or higher in nursing with completion of an accredited graduate-level advanced practice education program. Experience: Minimum of 2 years clinical experience in a practice setting performing relevant procedures and patient care. Requirements: Licensure as a Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner consistent with clinical practice area and patient population. Current state licensure and BLS certification prior to patient care; ACLS and PALS certification required post-hire. DEA and CDS eligibility. Strong computer skills including Microsoft Office and electronic communication. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Ability to manage time effectively and adapt to change. Valid driver's license and ability to travel independently to assigned regional locations. Physical ability to perform clinical duties including prolonged sitting, bending, lifting up to 50 lbs, and manual dexterity.
