Maintenance Technician

Job Overview Charlotte’s Coffee House is seeking a reliable and skilled Part-Time Maintenance Technician to support the upkeep and appearance of our café locations. In this hands-on role, you will perform day-to-day repairs, routine inspections, and light installations. This position is ideal for someone looking for flexible hours and consistent part-time work with a trusted local business. Key Responsibilities Perform general repairs on equipment, including espresso machines, refrigerators, fixtures, and furniture.  Troubleshoot maintenance issues and determine when vendor assistance is needed.  Coordinate and oversee outside vendor repairs as needed, ensuring both cost efficiency and quality.  Install and assemble café fixtures, furniture, décor, and promotional signage.  Conduct routine inspections and address potential maintenance needs proactively to ensure optimal system performance.  Maintain a clean, organized workspace with proper storage of tools and materials.  Respond to on-call maintenance requests, including occasional evenings or weekends.  Qualifications Previous experience in general maintenance, repair, or a related field.  Basic knowledge of electrical, plumbing, and mechanical systems.  Strong troubleshooting and time management skills.  Clear communication with managers and vendors.  Ability to work independently and make sound decisions.  Physically capable of lifting heavy objects and using ladders or power tools.  Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation are required.  Flexibility to be available for on-call needs.  Preferred Skills Familiarity with café or restaurant equipment.  Experience with light carpentry or furniture assembly.  Ability to coordinate with third-party repair vendors.  Perks Flexible work schedule  Competitive hourly pay  Supportive, team-oriented environment  Opportunity to make a hands-on impact across multiple café locations  Locations Supported Charlotte’s Coffee House – Downtown  Charlotte’s Coffee House – Uptown  Charlotte’s Coffee House – Cedar Crest  Join the Team If you're a dependable, hands-on professional who enjoys solving problems and keeping things running smoothly, we’d love to have you on our team.
