Sr Business Systems Analyst I

Hansen Talent Group is hiring a Senior Business Systems Analyst for a large enterprise in Columbia, SC. This is a fully onsite, opportunity supporting three Scrum development teams within a collaborative and fast-paced eCommerce environment. What You'll Do • Define customer needs in both technical and business contexts and ensure proposed solutions align with business objectives. • Lead business analysis efforts supporting large project initiatives and ongoing enhancements. • Elicit, document, and validate user requirements using structured business analysis models. • Write detailed User Stories with clear Acceptance Criteria and manage backlog priorities. • Guide technical and business teams through solution development and clarify why specific solutions were selected. • Support release planning, defect management, and deployment validation activities. • Review problem logs, test plans, test matrices, and scope/design documents to ensure solution accuracy. • Validate business needs for system enhancements and process improvements. • Provide strategic input on system direction and functionality changes. • Mentor junior Business Systems Analysts. What You'll Need • IT Business Analysis experience. • Strong experience functioning as an Agile Product Owner. • Proven ability to write high-quality User Stories with Acceptance Criteria. • Experience with Agile ALM tools (e.g., Jira or similar), defect management tools, and release management tools. • Strong communication skills - able to translate complex business and technical concepts across all levels. • Ability to influence stakeholders and negotiate business solutions. • Strong analytical, conceptual, and documentation skills. • Understanding of how IT systems support and transform business processes. Nice to Have • Experience with Visio, SQL, Insomnia. • Agile certifications (CSPO, PMI-ACP). • CBAP certification. • Experience working in secure application environments (authentication, authorization, data privacy). • Familiarity with HIPAA or LOMA standards.
