The Senior Business Analyst drives data-driven operational improvements by translating complex business and regulatory requirements into scalable system solutions. This role leads high-volume financial data processes, supports accurate financial and regulatory reporting, and optimizes client onboarding and operational workflows. Serving as a key liaison between business units, technical teams, clients, regulators, and executive leadership, the role partners closely with Accounting, Finance, Compliance, Underwriting, and IT to ensure data integrity, regulatory compliance, and operational efficiency-particularly within Property & Casualty (P&C) insurance environments. Qualifications: Proven experience working cross-functionally with Accounting, Finance, Compliance, Underwriting, and IT teams to reconcile complex financial and operational data Strong Property & Casualty insurance industry experience, including familiarity with regulatory and licensing requirements Demonstrated client-facing experience resolving data discrepancies and managing issue resolution across multiple stakeholders Expertise in requirements gathering, data analysis, workflow mapping, and documentation Hands-on experience planning and executing UAT, managing defects, and validating system enhancements Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to clearly communicate complex findings to technical teams and executive (C-suite) stakeholders Primary Job Functions: Data Operations & Analysis Lead and manage large-scale data import and reconciliation efforts, overseeing high-volume financial and operational data to ensure accuracy, completeness, and timeliness. Analyze complex system logic, data flows, and financial outputs to identify root causes of discrepancies and mitigate financial, operational, and regulatory risk. Investigate and resolve data variances across internal systems, client submissions, and third-party data sources. Cross-Functional & Technical Collaboration Partner closely with Accounting, Finance, Compliance, Underwriting, and IT teams to align business requirements with system capabilities. Collaborate with cross-functional IT teams, including onshore and offshore resources, to triage, prioritize, and resolve data and software defects. Translate business needs into detailed functional requirements, workflows, configurations, and supporting documentation. Client & Stakeholder Engagement Work directly with clients to identify, troubleshoot, and resolve data quality issues, ensuring accurate submissions and successful data onboarding. Serve as a trusted advisor to internal stakeholders and communicate regularly with C-suite and executive leadership, providing clear insights on risks, issues, and operational impacts. Balance multiple concurrent client initiatives while maintaining high standards of accuracy and responsiveness. Testing, Process Improvement & Enablement Design and execute comprehensive User Acceptance Testing (UAT) scenarios and test plans to validate system enhancements, data accuracy, and process improvements. Design, standardize, and maintain onboarding workflows, intake forms, and due diligence documentation to streamline cross-departmental processes. Deliver training and guidance to team members on data processing, reconciliation practices, and system workflows to promote consistency and best practices. Continuously evaluate and improve internal processes to reduce onboarding timelines, improve data quality, and enhance operational efficiency. Regulatory & Compliance Prepare, review, and submit regulatory and licensing reports to multiple state regulatory agencies, ensuring accuracy and adherence to reporting requirements. Partner directly with regulatory offices to respond to inquiries, resolve reporting variances, and support audits and compliance reviews. Apply strong knowledge of Property & Casualty insurance regulations and reporting requirements to ensure ongoing compliance.
