The Loss Prevention Specialist plays a crucial role in safeguarding the company’s assets by mitigating financial losses due to theft and fraud. Your primary focus will be on enhancing the safety and compliance of environmental programs within the assigned store or stores. You will employ various tools to minimize loss, which include: Identifying instances of theft and fraud Reviewing CCTV footage and exception reports Monitoring physical security measures within the store Auditing the Electronic Article Surveillance system Promoting a culture dedicated to shrink elimination Key responsibilities also encompass: Preparing detailed and accurate case reports of apprehensions and recoveries Preserving evidence for investigations Collaborating with law enforcement officials Testifying in both criminal and civil court as required As a Loss Prevention Specialist, it is essential to report any hazardous or unsafe conditions to the Manager on Duty. Carry out your duties in a way that prioritizes the safety of yourself, other associates, vendors, customers, and the company. You must display integrity consistently, address asset protection and operational concerns proactively, and remain aligned with the store's business objectives while also supporting key asset protection and operational functions.
