Job Description We are looking for a Janitorial Workforce Staffing Manager to help recruit, schedule, and support temporary janitorial employees across the Los Angeles market. In this role, you will manage a centralized dispatching and staffing operation that ensures our client sites have the right number of trained workers when they need them. You will work closely with Project Managers, Human Resources, and Talent Acquisition to plan staffing needs, bring new workers onboard, and ensure temporary team members are supported, paid correctly, and set up for success. Hours: Monday to Friday Daytime hours Location: 1150 S. Olive St., Los Angeles, CA Compensation: $65,000 annually The pay listed is the salary range for this position. For information about ABM's benefits, visit Recruiting Flyer - Staff & Mgmt ResponsibilitiesStaffing & Planning - Partner with Project Managers and HR to understand short-term and seasonal staffing needs. - Create staffing plans to ensure adequate coverage at client sites. - Help prioritize hiring needs by location, shift, and coverage requirements. Recruitment & Onboarding - Work with Talent Acquisition and HR to recruit and hire temporary janitorial employees. - Support onboarding by ensuring new hires understand policies, safety rules, and job expectations. - Help new employees become productive quickly. Team Support & Performance - Create a positive experience for temporary employees by addressing questions and concerns. - Provide feedback and coaching to support performance. - Recognize strong performance, reliability, and availability. - Coordinate training as needed. Scheduling & Dispatch Support - Coordinate work schedules and shifts to ensure proper coverage. - Serve as a backup to the Dispatcher when needed, assigning staff based on skills and availability. Payroll & Compliance - Oversee payroll processing to ensure accurate and timely pay. - Ensure compliance with labor laws, union rules, and company policies. - Support offboarding and final pay processes. Reporting & Improvement - Track staffing data related to utilization, performance, and cost. - Identify opportunities to improve efficiency and reduce costs. - Share insights with leadership to support workforce decisions. QualificationsRequired - 3+ years of experience in workforce staffing, scheduling, or operations. - Spanish language skills required. - Strong organizational and communication skills. - Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. Preferred - Bachelor's degree in HR, Business, Payroll, Labor Relations, or related field (or equivalent experience). - Experience working with temporary or hourly workforces. - Familiarity with employment laws and staffing compliance. - Experience with HR/payroll systems such as ADP, ePay, or Oracle. - Intermediate Excel skills (reports, formulas, pivot tables, charts). Other Requirements - Ability to travel up to 10% within the Los Angeles area. - Comfortable working under pressure and adapting to change.
