Job Title: Quality TechnicianCompany: Engauge Location: Franklin, WI Shift: 1st Shift (8:00 AM - 4:00 PM) Pay Range: $25-$26/hour About the Opportunity Engauge is hiring a Quality Technician to support our manufacturing operations in Franklin, WI. We are a small division within a $1 Billion organization, which allows us to operate with a "mom-and-pop" team culture while offering the stability and benefits of a large corporation. We are seeking someone who is hands-on, adaptable, and willing to wear multiple hats. This is a great opportunity for someone with a couple of years of quality experience who is eager to grow - or a veteran looking to transition into a quality-focused manufacturing role. Position Summary The Quality Technician will support the development, execution, and improvement of quality systems and inspection processes to ensure compliance with internal standards and customer requirements. This role will work closely with production, engineering, and leadership teams to support quality techniques, audits, and continuous improvement initiatives. Key ResponsibilitiesQuality Systems & Techniques Support core quality processes including PPAP, FAI, and APQP activities. Assist with quality audits and process auditing efforts. Participate in maintaining compliance with ISO-based Quality Management Systems. Inspections & Documentation Perform incoming, in-process, and final inspections of fabricated, mechanical, and electrical components. Utilize measuring tools such as calipers, micrometers, gauges, torque wrenches, and other inspection equipment. Document inspection results, non-conformances, and corrective actions accurately and thoroughly. Process Improvement & Root Cause Assist with root cause analysis investigations and corrective/preventive action follow-up. Support continuous improvement initiatives to enhance quality, efficiency, and compliance. Cross-Functional Support Collaborate with production and engineering teams to ensure quality standards are met. Be willing to assist in various quality-related and operational tasks as needed. Contribute to a team environment where flexibility and accountability are valued. Safety & Compliance Promote a safe working environment aligned with OSHA and company standards. Support adherence to established quality and documentation procedures. Qualifications & RequirementsExperience 1-3 years of experience in a manufacturing quality role preferred. Exposure to PPAP, FAI, APQP, or internal auditing strongly preferred. Veterans with mechanical aptitude and strong process discipline are encouraged to apply. Technical Skills Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and specifications. Familiarity with quality techniques and inspection methods. Basic understanding of ISO quality systems preferred. Computer Skills Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel). ERP experience (SAP or similar) is a plus. Attributes Willingness to learn and grow within a quality-focused role. Strong attention to detail. Team-oriented with the ability to adapt in a small-team environment. Comfortable taking on varied responsibilities and wearing multiple hats. Work Environment Manufacturing and production floor setting. Regular interaction with machinery and fabricated components. Hands-on role requiring both inspection and quality systems support.
