Chipton-Ross is seeking multiple CAD CAM Engineer 3's for a contract opportunity in Chandler, AZ. BASIC QUALIFICATIONS (REQUIRED SKILLS/EXPERIENCE): o Minimum 5 years recent PWB design layout experience using the Cadence Allegro design tool suite. o AA/AS degree or other 2-year post high school training with a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience. o Working knowledge of high density complex, multilayer boards (6-16 layers). o Experience in the layout/routing of digital and analog circuits, including power circuits. o Experience with layout/routing of high speed digital and controlled-impedance circuits (SERDES, DDR3/DDR4, etc). o Experience with rigid-flex assemblies. o Ability to prepare artwork (ODB++, Gerbers) for fabrication of PWBs. o Extensive experience with footprint/symbol creation and library management. o Understanding of IPC-2221 and IPC-7351 specifications. o Ability to acquire security clearance. o This position requires the applicant to be a U.S. citizen. Candidates must have the ability to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret clearance per business requirements. POSITION RESPONSIBILITES: looking for an Engineer - CAD CAM 3 to support our Launch Vehicles (LV) Avionics Design Group (ADG). As a member of the ADG you'll work in a fast-paced team environment alongside Design Engineers and Program Engineers to make our technologies a reality. This position will serve on-site at the facility in Chandler, AZ. Responsibilities: o Design/Layout printed wiring boards (PWBs) for military/aerospace avionics and test applications. o Communicate project status to your direct Manager and the Program Engineering Manager. o Collaborate with the circuit design engineer and mechanical engineers to ensure proper form, fit, and function of the design. o Participate in Peer Reviews and Design Milestone reviews throughout the development process. PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS (DESIRED SKILLS/EXPERIENCE): o Working understanding of the Printed Wiring Assembly manufacturing process. o Experience with CAM350 and/or Valor DFM software tools. o Experience with OrCAD Layout and Mentor PADS or Xpedition tool suites. REQUIRED EDUCATION: AA/AS degree or other 2-year post high school training is required. School must be accredited. WORK HOURS: 9/80 workweek. 1st shift. This position will serve on-site in Chandler, AZ.
