Pharmacy PAP Tech II

Under the direction of the Supervisor Patient Assistance Program, the Pharmacy PAP Technician II acts as a liaison between patients, drug manufacturers, and clinic staff. They ensure the appropriate and timely delivery of medications directly from manufacturers' Patient Assistance Programs to eligible patients. Additionally, may perform duties such as inputting computer data, completing reports, and providing comprehensive customer service required to support Pharmacy Department services. Hourly Pay Rate: $19.73 - $29.10QualificationsEducation: Requires a High School Diploma or GED. Completion of an accredited pharmacy technician program is required. Experience: Requires at least two (2) years of experience in a pharmacy environment with at least one (1) of those years in the retail setting. Certification/Licensure: Must possess a valid CPhT Certification and be licensed by the AZ State Board of Pharmacy. Must have a valid fingerprint clearance card issued by the Arizona Department of Public Safety OR submit a completed Affidavit at time of hire. Must complete fingerprint clearance card application within seven (7) days of hire date. Must present actual card within 90 days of applying for fingerprint clearance card. Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: Requires knowledge of mathematical calculations and medication terminology. Must have knowledge of computer software, including pharmacy system software, and Patient Assistance Program (PAP) software. Must have effective written and verbal communication, and organizational and problem solving skills. Requires the ability to read, write and speak effectively in English.
