Maximus is seeking a highly skilled Technical Project Leader who will oversee and guide the development of innovative technical solutions. As a pivotal member of our team, you will be responsible for: Building and designing detailed architectural documentation. Collaborating with cross-functional teams to define the infrastructure and tools needed for project success. Researching and analyzing new technologies and best practices for potential adoption. Communicating architectural decisions and project implications clearly to leadership. Job-Specific Responsibilities: Initiating, planning, documenting, managing, and maintaining technical projects. Leading technical teams and serving as a bridge between business and technical aspects of projects. Creating and managing high-quality project documentation including reports and briefings. Developing and maintaining project schedules. Coaching and motivating team members and contractors to take accountability for their work. Leading troubleshooting sessions to identify and rectify performance issues. Ensuring timely delivery of project artifacts as per client agreements. Directly developing and deploying components or complete application functionalities using Databricks, Informatica, SQL, and other tools. Collaborating on software component design from business requirements. Providing technical leadership to develop robust and scalable solutions. This position is remote within the US, with candidates ideally located near Lanham MD, Farmers Branch TX, or Austin TX. Local candidates may occasionally attend in-person meetings at the IRS facility. Minimum Requirements: Bachelor's degree in a related field. A minimum of 7 years relevant professional experience. An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered in lieu of degree. Proven experience leading technical teams in a production environment for at least 4 years. 10+ years of hands-on experience with databases/ETL applications and building data pipelines. A valid IRS Minimum Background Investigation (MBI) clearance is required. 2+ years of experience with IRS systems and data. Experience integrating technologies within large federal IT environments such as the IRS. Knowledge of cloud technologies and hybrid migrations. Implementation experience with AWS, Java, Python, REST APIs, and various RDBMS. Experience optimizing the performance of data pipelines. Expertise in building command-line solutions using various tools. Proficient in SQL and Python for data manipulation. Preferred Qualifications: Experience with migrating data to Databricks on AWS cloud. Expertise with AWS DMS and CLI tools. Familiarity with building complex data pipelines with Control-M. Hands-on experience with data migration and manipulation. Strong programming skills in Python on Linux. Understanding of application security protocols. Experience with Jenkins and automated testing methodologies. Background in agile/scrum methodologies. Experience in containerization with Docker or AWS EC2. Additional Requirements: Candidates must obtain and maintain an IRS Minimum Background Investigation (MBI) clearance. Candidates should be U.S. Citizens or Legal Permanent Residents for at least 3 years and comply with federal tax regulations. Compensation: Maximus offers competitive salaries ranging from $72.00 to $89.00 per hour, based on various factors such as location, education, experience, and job responsibilities.
