Join a dedicated healthcare team in a regional medical group serving the Midwest. This full-time Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) role supports physicians and mid-level providers by delivering patient assessments, treatments, testing, and education within a busy clinical environment. The ideal candidate is organized, professional, detail-oriented, and able to multitask efficiently while maintaining excellent customer service and critical thinking skills. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: - Adhere to clinic policies ensuring patient safety, including infection prevention and safe patient handling. - Administer medications as ordered (oral, IM, SC). - Assist providers with procedures, maintaining sterile fields and managing instruments. - Support examinations within the scope of licensure. - Conduct phone triage and act as liaison between patients and providers. - Communicate test results and assist with follow-up calls. - Document patient complaints and visit details accurately. - Escort patients to exam rooms and obtain vital signs and measurements. - Update medication and patient summary lists. - Perform point-of-care lab testing and collect specimens. - Educate patients on electronic health record access and provide supportive teaching. - Schedule diagnostic and therapeutic procedures, managing precertifications and authorizations. - Train new LPNs and medical assistants in clinic roles. - Demonstrate accountability, teamwork, and reliability under pressure. Education: Graduate of an accredited LPN program and completion of an approved IV therapy course. Experience: Nursing or healthcare experience preferred but not required. Certification/License: Current LPN license valid in the state of practice. American Heart Association Basic Life Support certification required. Mental/Physical Requirements: Requires considerable mental focus, ability to lift up to 35 lbs., and perform activities involving standing, walking, turning, carrying, pushing, pulling, stooping, crouching, twisting, and reaching. Working Conditions: Frequent exposure to infectious diseases and occasional encounters with hostile individuals. Exposure to communicable diseases through blood and body fluids is common. Minimal physical discomfort expected.
