Your Role as a Team Leader: As a Team Leader overseeing multiple H&R Block tax offices, you will play a key role in leading a dedicated team committed to providing exceptional customer service during the bustling tax season. While prior tax preparation experience is not required, your leadership skills and passion for helping others will be essential to your success. This position begins with a flexible part-time schedule in the fall, transitioning to full-time from January to April, which may include evenings and weekends. Please note that this role requires in-person presence at tax office locations. Preferred Qualifications: Experience in managing multiple teams in industries such as retail, restaurant, or banking. Key Responsibilities: Supervise staffing and operational logistics across multiple offices with the support of Associate Team Leaders. Collaborate with the District General Manager (DGM) to develop strategic growth plans that include local partnerships and community engagement. Assist in the recruitment and interview processes for tax office associates. Conduct performance reviews and engage with the Associate Relations Center to address any associate concerns. Foster an inclusive and motivating team culture through training, coaching, and recognition of outstanding contributions. Lead daily meetings to communicate vital information to associates. Create schedules for associates and manage accurate timekeeping across all offices. Travel between offices as required. Prepare tax returns when needed, upon successful completion of the H&R Block Income Tax Course or Tax Knowledge Assessment. Your Experience: Proven people management experience with a focus on associate development. Ability to execute growth plans and foster a culture of success. Strong decision-making skills and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with a client-centric approach. Proficiency in MS Office and basic computer skills. Bachelor's degree in a related field or a high school diploma accompanied by relevant experience. Successful completion of H&R Block's Tax Knowledge Assessment or Income Tax Course if preparing tax returns. Why H&R Block?
