Job Summary: The Maintenance Technician plays a critical role in supporting the overall functionality, cleanliness, and efficiency of the BDC facility. This is a hands-on position focused on executing preventative maintenance, performing equipment repairs, and ensuring the proper operation and cleanliness of all production lines and facility systems. The ideal candidate is mechanically inclined, dependable, organized, and takes pride in maintaining a safe and productive manufacturing environment. Currently hiring for first shift, Monday to Friday, 7:30 am - 4 pm, with overtime as needed during the week and on Saturdays. Required start at 6:30 am during our busy season. Preference given to people flexible for first or second shift for company growth. Key Responsibilities: Perform scheduled preventative maintenance (PM) and on-demand repairs to production equipment and facility systems. Assist in completing all PM tasks in accordance with maintenance schedules and company standards. Diagnose and troubleshoot issues with machinery, including pumps, mixers, motors, and packaging equipment. Maintain the cleanliness and functionality of production equipment to avoid operational delays. Keep accurate records of maintenance activities and log issues in coordination with the Supervisor. Help identify worn parts or components needing replacement and assist in restocking spare parts inventory. Report and assist in correcting any maintenance-related safety issues. Work collaboratively with the Maintenance Supervisor on downtime projects and repairs. Support maintenance of HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and basic facility upkeep as directed. Operate forklifts and other equipment as necessary (training provided if needed). Skills & Competencies: Technical: Mechanical and electrical repair, basic welding/plumbing, understanding of pumps and motors. Problem Solving: Able to quickly identify issues, propose solutions, and execute fixes under pressure. Requires a "figure it out" mentality. Accountability: Organized, dependable, and consistent in completing scheduled tasks. Communication: Can clearly report issues, follow written procedures, and work effectively with peers and supervisors. Teamwork: Positive attitude, willing to help others, and eager to learn from maintenance leadership. Qualifications: High school diploma or equivalent required. 2+ years of hands-on industrial maintenance experience in a manufacturing setting preferred. Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting ability. Must have reliable transportation. Willing to work overtime or off-hours as needed for equipment repairs. Work Environment & Physical Demands: Able to lift 50+ lbs regularly and perform physical labor in a warehouse/plant environment. Work is performed in a production environment with noise, dust, and vibration. Protective gear, including gloves, safety glasses, and closed-toe shoes, is required. Must bend, climb, reach, lift, and operate hand tools/equipment as needed.
