Position Description The Service Project Manager is responsible for identifying, estimating, and managing HVAC service projects from start to finish. This includes project set up, billing, and supporting the Service Team in achieving revenue, margin, and safety goals. The Project Manager manages accounts and opportunities through effective sales, communication, scheduling, and cost tracking. Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned. Sales & Estimating Identify and pursue service project opportunities Prepare accurate estimates and proposals Build and maintain strong client relationships Represent Auburn in industry associations to support business development Project Management Manage service projects to ensure timely, cost-effective delivery Coordinate technicians, subcontractors, and materials Monitor progress and resolve issues proactively Ensure compliance with safety standards Billing & Documentation Maintain accurate job costing and ensure timely billing Organize and track work orders, change orders, and communications Report on project financials, including budget and profitability Permitting & Closeout Obtain permits and schedule inspections Ensure code compliance and successful final inspections Complete closeout documentation and confirm client satisfaction Supervisory Responsibilities: None Please note this job description is not designed to cover or contain a comprehensive listing of activities, duties or responsibilities that are required of the employee for this job. Position Requirements Qualifications: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Excellent organization and time management Knowledge of mechanical and plumbing systems Familiarity withy permitting processes and local codes Strong interpersonal skills and demonstrated ability to communicate effectively with others Strong work ethic - dependable, dedicated, diligent, positive attitude Results driven High level of attention to detail and accuracy in work with a focus on quality control Ability to adapt to circumstances and changing priorities in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment Education/Experience High school diploma or equivalent GED required. 5-7 years of experience in HVAC, plumbing or mechanical service project management and estimating Equivalent combination of education and experience considered Computer Skills Proficiency with MS Office Suite programs (Outlook, Teams, Excel, Word) required Experience with project management software Certificates and Licenses Valid driver's license and acceptable driving record Working ConditionsWork Environment: The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job. The majority of the time, this position is in a standard office environment with desktop and general office equipment noise and frequent telephone calls. Noise level is moderate. When at client sites the noise level varies from moderate to loud. Construction equipment and moving vehicles may be present. The employee may need to climb ladders to access work areas and survey equipment. Physical Demands: The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. The employee must be able to safely drive a vehicle to and from client sites. Rare overnight travel is possible.
