Assistant Controller Our client is seeking an Assistant Controller to join their well?established, mission?driven healthcare organization serving communities across the Carolinas. Essential Duties & Functions Assist the Director of Finance in overseeing daily accounting operations and supporting a positive, high?performing work environment. Support month?end close, including preparation of financial reports, reconciliations, and review of general ledger entries. Supervise the Accounts Payable Administrator and Senior Cash Receipts Specialist. Manage cash functions including day?to?day cash projections, bank reconciliations, and credit card oversight. Identify and implement process improvements to enhance accuracy, efficiency, and compliance. Prepare internal reports and analytics that highlight trends and support leadership decision?making. Support external audit processes and maintain current financial policies and procedures. Facilitate training and cross?training for accounting team members and help strengthen internal controls. Maintain confidentiality, professionalism, and adherence to deadlines within a fast?paced environment. Qualifications Bachelors degree in Accounting. 5+ years of progressive accounting experience, including at least one year in a supervisory or lead role. Strong understanding of GAAP and financial reporting. Advanced Excel skills and strong overall computer proficiency. Ability to manage multiple priorities and adapt to a changing environment. Excellent attention to detail, organization, and communication skills. Collaborative mindset with the ability to work well in a team?focused culture.
