Acxiom is excited to invite applications for the role of Legal Privacy Specialist, working closely with the Chief Privacy Officer to navigate the complex landscape of privacy legislation. This position focuses on developing internal policies, managing our privacy impact assessment program, and delivering strategic legal guidance to both the Privacy Team and business units. Responsibilities: Serve as the primary legal contact for the Privacy Team. Conduct in-depth legal research on privacy, security, and AI-related topics at federal, state, and international levels. Draft legal opinions concerning Acxiom's internal practices, data use cases, and special projects as directed by the Chief Privacy Officer. Evaluate the implications of proposed laws, regulations, court cases, and industry policies to advise stakeholders on compliance measures. Maintain an updated list of relevant laws and regulations, monitoring legislative changes and informing stakeholders as necessary. Engage in various internal and external committees to represent Acxiom’s legal interests. Lead strategic initiatives to ensure compliance with federal and state privacy and AI legislation. Oversee and approve necessary aspects of the Data Source Credentialing program. Act as an escalation point for various teams, including the consumer care team. Assist in addressing consumer opt-out requests, inquiries, and other legislative reporting issues as they arise. Qualifications: Required: Juris Doctorate (J.D.) from an ABA-accredited law school, active state bar license, and a minimum of 2 years of legal practice. Strong analytical skills to identify potential issues, assess risks, negotiate contracts, and draft advisory memos to the business. Preferred: Familiarity with key privacy and AI legislation at both national and international levels. Proactive in self-educating about Acxiom's products and the regulatory landscape impacting our operations. Location: This position is based in Conway, Arkansas, with remote working options available.
