Key Responsibilities: Drywall Estimation: Create accurate and detailed cost estimates for drywall projects, including material costs, labor, and equipment requirements. Bid Preparation: Develop comprehensive bid proposals for drywall contracts, coordinating with internal teams to collect necessary documentation and calculations. Project Coordination: Collaborate with project managers, architects, and general contractors to review project specifications, blueprints, and requirements for accurate estimates. Cost Analysis: Conduct thorough cost analyses and feasibility studies, identifying cost-saving opportunities while maintaining quality standards. Takeoffs and Quantification: Execute precise material takeoffs and quantification for all drywall scopes of work. Subcontractor and Vendor Coordination: Work closely with subcontractors and suppliers to secure competitive pricing for materials and labor. Contract Review: Assist in evaluating and negotiating contract terms, including scope, pricing, and change orders. Software Proficiency: Utilize drywall estimating software (e.g., QuickBid, PlanSwift, OST) to create estimates, track project progress, and keep accurate cost records. Budget Monitoring: Support project managers in monitoring budgets and costs throughout the project's lifecycle, ensuring compliance with financial limits. Client Interaction: Provide expert guidance and support to clients, addressing inquiries and concerns regarding estimates or drywall work. Qualifications: Minimum of 5 years of experience estimating drywall projects for large commercial construction. Proficient in drywall estimating software such as QuickBid, On-Screen Takeoff (OST), PlanSwift, or similar. Strong understanding of drywall materials, techniques, and relevant building codes. Experience performing material takeoffs, preparing bids, and conducting cost analyses. Able to read and interpret architectural drawings, blueprints, and project specifications. Excellent communication and negotiation abilities. Proven ability to balance multiple estimates and deadlines effectively. Detail-oriented with a strong focus on accuracy in all estimations. Familiarity with the commercial construction project lifecycle and processes. A degree in Construction Management or a related field is a plus but not mandatory.
