Description POSITION AVAILABLE CIVIL ENGINEERING INTERN - SUMMER 2026 DEPARTMENT: Engineering Services Division, City of Concord Community Development TYPE OF EMPLOYMENT: Up to thirteen (13) weeks - May through August 2026 STARTING HOURLY RANGE: $18.50-$20.55 Depending on work experience/education with paid holidays. Examples of Duties Duties are varied and include, but not limited to, the following: Roadway pavement condition survey citywide Construction inspection of utility projects in City right-of-way Update GIS databases Drafting engineering design plans or records in AutoCAD Field data collection using a Trimble GPS unit Typical Qualifications Enrolled in a college level Civil Engineering, Planning, Geography or related field. Must have successfully completed one year of post secondary education. Knowledge of planning/survey/civil engineering/GIS principles and methods preferred.
