Job Description

Join our dedicated team as a Registered Nurse (RN) in a PRN role! Pediatric experience preferred. As a part of Volunteers of America National Services, we prioritize providing exceptional Home Health care. Join us to make a meaningful impact in the lives of our clients. Compensation: $40.07 - $48.10 per hour, depending on experience! Work Schedule: PRN, requiring travel to clients' homes. Anticipate working 2 days per week with on-call support, including weekend rotations with fellow RNs. The Registered Nurse (RN) will manage client cases, coordinate care, supervise services, and implement healthcare strategies in line with nursing practice standards. QUALIFICATIONS: Graduate of an accredited nursing program with an active Registered Nurse license. Active RN license in the state of practice; a Baccalaureate degree is preferred. At least two (2) years of nursing experience combining long-term care, dementia care, or acute care; home care experience is preferred. CPR certified. Strong written and verbal communication skills; good interpersonal skills are essential. Excellent organizational and time management abilities. Understanding of Home Health regulatory and reimbursement guidelines. Must be at least 21 years old with a valid driver's license and meet organizational MVR standards. Customer service-oriented with the ability to follow directions effectively. Physical capability to meet the rigorous demands of client care. Team player with computer proficiency for timekeeping and documentation tasks. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: Conduct extensive evaluations of client referrals and ensure eligibility for home care services. Perform thorough assessments to provide tailored home care solutions, addressing physical, psychological, and socioeconomic needs. Direct and initiate necessary actions during home care situations, making informed decisions based on client conditions. Regularly consult with RN Case Managers and Director of Clinical Services while utilizing agency and community resources effectively. Monitor clinical documentation for compliance and participate in on-call support for clients per schedule. Contribute to human resource management to ensure quality service delivery and positive staff relations. Ensure a safe environment for clients and co-workers while adhering to infection control policies and procedures. Maintain confidentiality of client information while assisting in quality improvement initiatives. Participate in trainings and complete required assignments as directed.
