Job Summary We are seeking a Diesel Calibration Engineer to support diesel engine aftertreatment development with a strong focus on DPF aftertreatment systems, engine dynamometer emissions testing, and regulatory certification activities. This role is hands-on and lab-focused, supporting lean, regeneration (regen), and OBD emissions processes, with daily responsibility for dyno testing, data collection, and analysis. This position does not require full calibrator ownership, and is well-suited for a technologist, engineer, or technician-level professional with strong diesel development experience and familiarity with calibration and data acquisition tools. Key Responsibilities Aftertreatment & Calibration Support Support Diesel Particulate Filter (DPF) aftertreatment systems, including installation, testing, removal, and troubleshooting Execute aftertreatment calibration updates and monitor system response Track and document calibration changes, test results, and configuration updates Support diesel engine and aftertreatment calibration, test methods, and validation activities Emissions & Dyno Testing Perform engine dynamometer certification emissions testing for: Lean operation Regeneration (active and passive) On-Board Diagnostics (OBD) Maintain daily responsibility for engine dyno operation, test execution, and data quality Support EPA 10-65 certification protocols, including familiarity with key test cycles Assist with emissions certification readiness and documentation Data Collection & Analysis Collect, analyze, and share dyno and emissions data across engineering teams Utilize ETAS calibration and data acquisition tools for: Dyno data collection Calibration tracking Data sharing and reporting Ensure data integrity and traceability for certification and development activities Cross-Functional Support Act as a technical "floater", supporting multiple programs or test activities as priorities shift Collaborate with calibration engineers, emissions teams, and regulatory compliance groups Support troubleshooting and root-cause analysis for aftertreatment or emissions issues Required Qualifications Experience with diesel engine development, testing, or aftertreatment systems Hands-on experience with engine dynamometer testing Familiarity with DPF aftertreatment systems and diesel emissions processes Knowledge of lean, regen, and OBD emissions strategies Experience using ETAS tools (INCA, MDA, or similar) for calibration and data collection Understanding of EPA 10-65 emissions certification protocols and key drive cycles Strong attention to detail and documentation skills Preferred Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Automotive Engineering, or related field (or equivalent hands-on experience) Prior experience supporting emissions certification testing Background in diesel aftertreatment calibration or validation Experience working in a regulated emissions or certification environment
