Mammography Technologist - Outpatient

Leading Westchester hospital seeks a Mammography Technologist for its outpatient imaging center. Responsibilities: Performs routine and specialized mammography and radiologic imaging, prepares and positions patients according to protocol, applies radiation-safety principles, and provides age-appropriate, compassionate patient education throughout the exam. Produces high-quality diagnostic images, verifies completeness of studies, performs equipment QA/calibrations, maintains cleanliness and function of imaging rooms, and reports equipment issues promptly. Assists radiologists during procedures, communicates urgent findings ("wet reads") to attending physicians when needed, and collaborates with clinical staff to ensure safe, efficient workflow across outpatient sites. Performs essential office duties including phones, check-ins, documentation, retrieving prior imaging, processing images or CDs, managing supplies, and participating in staff meetings, in-services, and coverage rotations.
