This role contributes to the Space Development Agency (SDA) Ground Mission Integration (GMI) effort-building secure, scalable ground systems that enable resilient space capabilities. Develop robust APIs and services; create unit/integration tests and automate validation. Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines; apply GitOps, automation, configuration management, and infrastructure as code. Containerize applications and orchestrate services with Docker and Kubernetes. Collaborate with development, operations, and security to meet performance, reliability, and compliance requirements. Author technical documentation (architecture, interfaces, runbooks) and contribute to readiness reviews. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Software Engineering or related STEM field and 2+ years of relevant experience; OR Master's degree plus 6 months of experience. Agile / Scaled Agile experience preferred. Proficiency in Python and Java; strong understanding of API design, testing, and management. Knowledge of DevOps principles (CI/CD, automation, IaC), cloud platforms (AWS; Azure a plus). Familiarity with containerization (Docker) and orchestration (Kubernetes). Understanding of security best practices (risk/compliance, vulnerability management, encryption/PKI, auditing/monitoring). Excellent problem solving, communication, and documentation skills. Clearance Requirements Department of Defense Top Secret clearance preferred at time of hire.
