Job Title: Senior Full Stack AI/Java DeveloperLocation: Raleigh, NC (Hybrid)Duration: 12 months Job Summary Client is seeking a Senior Full Stack AI/Java Developer to support modernization of a legacy mainframe system into a secure, scalable, web-based platform. The ideal candidate will have strong Java full-stack experience and hands-on exposure to AI-driven development practices. Key Responsibilities Develop full-stack applications using Java 8+, Spring Boot, Spring Data, Hibernate/JPA Build responsive front-end applications using JavaScript, HTML5, CSS, React or Angular Design and implement RESTful APIs and microservices architecture Apply AI-driven development practices (prompt engineering, code generation, automated testing, security scanning) Use AI-assisted tools like GitHub Copilot, OpenAI, Gemini or similar Implement AI security best practices and governance standards Work with relational databases such as PostgreSQL, Oracle, DB2 Support CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins, GitHub Actions or similar tools Participate in Agile development and system modernization efforts Required Experience 7+ years of backend Java development 4+ years of front-end development 4+ years of database development and SQL 2+ years of AI prompt engineering and AI-driven development practices 2+ years implementing AI security and governance standards Preferred Skills Mainframe system modernization experience Cloud experience (AWS, Azure, or GCP) Experience with Docker, Kubernetes Experience with Kafka or event-driven systems
