It's more than a career, it's a calling.WI-SSM Health St. Mary's Hospital - MadisonWorker Type:RegularJob Highlights:This is a part time Trauma Registrar position for St. Mary's Hospital in Madison working a total of 16 hours per week.Schedule: Primarily working remotely with some need for occasional in person team meetings in Madison. The specific shift and days of the week are flexible.Job Summary:Responsible for maintaining the trauma registry and required data submissions to both state and national databases.Job Responsibilities and Requirements:PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES Completes daily analysis of medical records for trauma patients, determines eligibility for registry reporting and maintains the trauma registry. Maintains, utilizes, and communicates current knowledge of regulatory agency requirements and standards, with regard to trauma care. Demonstrates a thorough understanding, accurate interpretation, and knowledge of the standards that regulate trauma registry activities. Completes daily analysis of medical records for trauma patients and determines eligibility for registry reporting. Performs queries for basic monthly reports from the trauma registry database. Utilizes various software systems to perform analysis, graphs, and compile data and reports in format that is user friendly. Maintains collaborative relationships providers, agencies, and internal departments. Performs other duties as assigned. EDUCATION Associate's degree in Applied Science or related field or equivalent education and experience EXPERIENCE Two years' experience in health care PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS Frequent lifting/carrying and pushing/pulling objects weighing 0-25 lbs. Frequent sitting, standing, walking, reaching and repetitive foot/leg and hand/arm movements. Frequent use of vision and depth perception for distances near (20 inches or less) and far (20 feet or more) and to identify and distinguish colors. Frequent use of hearing and speech to share information through oral communication. Ability to hear alarms, malfunctioning machinery, etc. Frequent keyboard use/data entry. Occasional bending, stooping, kneeling, squatting, twisting and gripping. Occasional lifting/carrying and pushing/pulling objects weighing 25-50 lbs. Rare climbing.
