Fred Smith Company is currently searching for an experienced Transportation Foreman for our Fleet Division. We are a heavy civil contractor working in the commercial sitework, public infrastructure and asphalt markets in North Carolina. The Transportation Foreman is responsible for supervising and directing assigned crew leaders and drivers in their activities to transport equipment and/or material from or to job sites in an efficient, safe and satisfactory way. Additional Qualifications/Responsibilities The successful candidate will have a minimum of 1 year experience in this specialized field including driving of various trucks, hauling/unloading various equipment or materials, required permits, weight limits, laws, driving qualifications and other aspects as well as related supervisory responsibilities. Thorough knowledge of motor carrier regulations, commercial motor vehicles, traffic laws and ordinances is required. The Transportation Foreman is required to have and maintain a valid North Carolina Commercial Drivers License.
