Job Description The Strategic Sourcing Manager develops and executes enterprise sourcing strategies across. This role blends advanced analytics, clinical partnership, value analysis, inventory optimization, and supplier management to ensure UC Health has a cost-effective, resilient, and high-quality supply base. ResponsibilitiesCategory Strategy & Value Analysis Build and maintain category strategies for supplies, equipment, and services. Leverage market intelligence, cost modeling, competitive assessments, Group Purchasing Organizations, and RFI/RFP/RFQ processes to drive total cost of ownership improvements. Partner closely with Value Analysis Committees, service line directors, and clinical and non-clinical stakeholders to guide standardization decisions and product evaluations. Inventory & Utilization Optimization Act as a subject matter expert on reducing cost through contracting, utilization management, and perpetual inventory optimization, consistent with UC Health's existing expectations and national benchmarks for category leadership. Lead improvements for consignment, PAR levels, UDI/lot/expiry accuracy, and storage/space optimization. Collaborate with Materials Management/Logistics to implement technologies that enhance traceability and reduce waste. Supplier & Risk Management Manage supplier relationships, strengthen QBR processes, and drive consistent performance. Participate in recall management workflows in alignment with UC Health requirements. Ensure supplier diversity and sustainability considerations are integrated into sourcing strategies. Contracting & Negotiation Lead all contract negotiations for assigned categories, which may include master service agreements, pricing agreements, capital purchases, and service contracts. Execute competitive events, redline contract terms, and partner with Legal, Finance, and Compliance to ensure proper execution, risk protection, and alignment to UC Health policies. Stakeholder Partnership & Change Leadership Serve as a trusted advisor to internal stakeholders across the organization. Drive adoption of preferred suppliers and standardized products through data-driven recommendations and transparent communication. Build collaborative partnerships across UC Health to translate clinical and operational needs into sourcing strategies that improve outcomes. Analytics & Digital Enablement Use ERP and contract management tools to run sourcing events, interpret bids, and maintain accurate supplier/contract data. Produce dashboards for savings, utilization, contract coverage, and supplier performance. Other duties as assigned. QualificationsRequired Bachelor's Degree Business, Operations, Supply Chain, Finance, Industrial Engineering, or related field or equivalent combination of education and experience (6-10 years). 3-5 years equivalent experience. Preferred Master's Degree Business, Operations, Supply Chain, Finance, Industrial Engineering or related discipline. Certified Materials & Resource Professional (CMRP) or similar supply chain certification. 6-10 years equivalent experience.
