Job Type Full-time Description The Director of Talent Search is responsible for overseeing, administering, and continuously improving all Talent Search services, ensuring full implementation of grant and contract requirements, including the achievement of project goals and objectives. Key responsibilities include leading recruitment efforts to meet participation targets; ensuring high-quality direct services that promote academic success; and monitoring progress through data analysis and program evaluation. The Director maintains fiscal responsibility through sound budget oversight and grant management practices. Our Talent Search program is designed to assist motivated students who wish to continue their education after high school graduation by providing academic, career, and financial counseling services, encouraging them to graduate from high school and complete their postsecondary education. DUTIES AND ACCOUNTABILITIES:Leadership: A competent and credible leader whom others choose to follow Define vision clearly and how to get there Execute strategy and consistently achieve results Coach team to improve performance, solve problems, and grow careers Accountable for oversight and administration of the Talent Search Program and activities that provide direct services to participants Participation and Academic Success: Implement the recruitment plan and meet the participation goal Accountable for the successful implementation and completion of grant and contract requirements, including project goals and objectives Management of District and Higher Education Partnerships: Create and maintain positive relationships with school personnel professionally and courteously; be respectful of the shared space Assist with creating and maintaining positive relationships with external partners in a professional and courteous manner Grant Management: Accountable for budget oversight and fiscal management Data analysis and programmatic evaluation Facility and Child Safety: Accountable for adherence to all organizational health and safety policies and implementation of all safety practices and procedures at assigned work location(s) Take all necessary and reasonable precautions to protect members, staff, equipment, materials, and facilities. Abide by facility maintenance protocols and procedures to ensure compliance Accountable for reporting incidents and completing documentation within the required timeline Maintain discipline and de-escalate conflict between members and/or others Obtain and renew CPR and First Aid certification by the deadline Administrative Compliance: Complete all required reports and administrative duties on time Accountable for completing accurate and timely paperwork, reports, and data entry, including daily contact logs, monthly reports, and the Blumen database Comply with all administrative policies and procedures, processes, and controls, including tracking senior progression through college applications, financial aid applications, and postsecondary enrollment Accountable for utilizing all BGCGTC communication tools regularly and effectively Relationships: Be a positive role model Maintain emotional control and make good decisions under pressure Coordinate and work directly with target schools, community agencies and organizations, and postsecondary institutions to provide services to program youth Develop and maintain a working and trusting relationship with program members and families Represent the Boys & Girls Club in a positive manner Attendance: Regular attendance is required; arrive on time, work the required hours/shift, and leave at the scheduled time Attend regularly scheduled staff meetings, training sessions, and parent/student meetings on time NONESSENTIAL DUTIES: Complete all other duties as assigned Requirements Education and Work Experience Requirements: Bachelor's Degree from an accredited college or university required; social service majors preferred Management, grant management, fiscal responsibility, and relevant work experience Minimum Requirements: Ability to work regular program hours, which include day, evening, and night hours, with periodic weekends Ability to attract, train, and retain qualified personnel Ability to be flexible and adapt to change, balancing the needs of various stakeholders, including staff, students, and organizational needs Ability to collect, analyze, and disseminate data related to the program and staff evaluation Ability to create and implement strategic plans; ability to articulate the vision of senior leadership to staff and guide them to reach overall organizational goals Ability to identify, create, and offer ongoing support to employees through training, encouragement, and reinforcement to breed success and support a positive growth culture through effective leadership skills Ability to plan, lead, and shape change and growth at the program level, resulting in tangible progress towards goals Effective time management, organizational and planning skills, able to multitask, set priorities, and accomplish goals Experience in successfully meeting government-funded contracts with deliverables for performance. Knowledge and experience with computer technology and software programs; proficiency in MS Office, database management, internet, iPhone, iPad, hotspots, Google Apps Suite, and other technology Knowledge of college preparatory activities and program management activities Strong working knowledge of secondary core course curriculum Must be able to obtain CPR and First Aid certification Must be able to pass background screening and drug screening at any time. Position requires driving a personal vehicle and a company vehicle. Candidates must have reliable transportation, liability insurance, a satisfactory driving record, and a valid driver's license for the operation of a motor vehicle relevant to carrying out duties and to be covered under the company's insurance. The requirement is for an employee to be a minimum of age 21. Preferred Qualifications: Bilingual Master's Degree Experience writing grants and other proposals Experience in administering TRiO programs Knowledge of case management techniques and/or processes Work experience with or program knowledge of the Boys & Girls Club Movement (national and/or local Club) is an advantage Salary & Benefits: Minimum entry Salary: $54,467 (exempt; full-time) Benefits: Medical Insurance, Flex Spending Account, Dental Insurance, Vision Insurance, Life Insurance, Retirement with 5% match, Holiday, PTO The Boys & Girls Clubs of Greater Tarrant County is an equal opportunity employer.
