Job Description Position Summary The Maintenance Technician performs a variety of maintenance tasks to ensure machinery, equipment, and facility systems operate efficiently and safely. This role supports production and facility operations by diagnosing issues, performing repairs, and completing preventive maintenance activities on mechanical, electrical, and building systems. Key Responsibilities Repair or replace defective equipment components using hand tools, power tools, and precision instruments. Perform routine preventive maintenance to ensure equipment and facility systems operate reliably and efficiently. Inspect motors, drives, belts, and other mechanical components; check fluid levels and replace filters as needed. Troubleshoot mechanical and electrical issues to identify root causes and implement corrective actions. Use a variety of tools and equipment including hand tools, power tools, measuring instruments, and electrical testing devices. Install, assemble, or repair wiring, electrical components, plumbing systems, machinery, and other facility equipment. Inspect, operate, and test equipment to diagnose malfunctions and determine required repairs. Clean, lubricate, and maintain machine components such as shafts, bearings, and gears. Disassemble equipment as necessary to access and replace defective parts. Maintain accurate records of maintenance and repair activities, including work performed and associated costs. Follow safety procedures and support a safe working environment. Job Requirements Qualifications Basic knowledge of mechanical systems, machines, and tools including their design, operation, repair, and maintenance. Understanding of manufacturing processes, materials, and quality standards. Familiarity with the practical application of engineering and technical principles. Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills. Effective verbal and written communication skills. Ability to work both independently and as part of a team. Strong attention to detail and organizational skills. Education & Experience High school diploma or GED required. 2-4 years of maintenance or related technical experience preferred.
