Our ideal candidate is punctual, efficient, and reliable, comfortable adapting to variable schedules and shifting priorities. Under the direction of the Building and Grounds Manager, this position will provide a wide range of custodial operations assistance to ensure outstanding experiences for guests, visitors and staff. You will join a team of supportive and passionate Conservancy and National Park Service staff, volunteers, and park visitors at Ohio's National Park. Requirements Required Qualifications: High School diploma or GED required. Able to pass a criminal record check for the state of Ohio and FBI fingerprint checks. Possess reliable transportation, valid Driver's License, and evidence of insurability. Able to work variable assigned hours and weekend shifts to meet event needs. Knowledge of and ability to follow accepted safety standards required. Willingness and ability to use common cleaning and light maintenance equipment. Fluent in English with the ability to speak, read, and write clearly and coherently. Physical aspects of the role: Traverse uneven terrain and elevation changes. Exposed to outdoor weather conditions throughout the Cuyahoga Valley National Park. Climb stairs and ladders to access storage areas in basements and attics. Lift and move heavy items such as furniture. Exposed to moderate and high noise levels. Operate machinery and equipment such as lawn mowers, shovels, and power tools. Regular exposure to industrial strength cleaning chemicals.
