Who We Are Looking For: We seek dynamic and passionate individuals to lead our arts & crafts classes and camps. The ideal candidate is an artist with robust skills who genuinely wants to inspire young minds through art and creativity. If you have a high-energy, positive approach and a strong desire to significantly impact children’s lives, we want you! This role requires providing constructive feedback, implementing our curated curriculum, and collaborating effectively as part of a team. Exceptional communication skills with both children and their parents are essential, ensuring clarity in all interactions. A child abuse clearance and criminal background checks are mandatory. Experience Requirements: At least 2 years of experience working with children in various capacities, including but not limited to tutoring, camp counseling, or youth volunteering. Education Requirements: A Bachelor's degree is preferred but not required. Essential Job Responsibilities: Deliver engaging arts & crafts instruction to students aged 4 to 18, catering to varying skill levels. Exhibit strong planning, organization, communication, and time management skills. Proficient in materials like pencil, charcoal, acrylic paint, brushes, color markers, crayons, watercolor, and craft paper. Encourage creative thinking and hands-on projects, fostering a passion for art. Manage inventory, order supplies, and maintain all arts and crafts equipment. Create and organize daily lesson plans to inspire creativity and fun. Utilize effective classroom management techniques to cultivate an inclusive and joyful environment. Collaborate with fellow Activity Specialists to fulfill daily responsibilities. Serve as a positive role model, following the Impact Kids Code of Conduct and appearance standards. Embody Impact Kids Core Values and adhere to all company policies. Most importantly, have fun! Working Conditions and Physical Requirements: The selected candidate must be willing to travel and be prepared to respond to emergency situations requiring physical agility, including running and climbing stairs. A good level of physical fitness is necessary to effectively perform all job responsibilities.
