Job DescriptionJob Description: Under the direction of the Supervisor of Passenger Facilities Maintenance, or designate, is responsible for installing, cleaning, maintaining, and repairing shelters and bus stop signs throughout the six-county region. Responsibilities include: maintaining shelter and sign inventory; creating and maintaining work orders and records; assisting in training new employees in the use of equipment and materials; performing maintenance and snow removal duties at Pace passenger facilities including replacing shelter glazing; repairing shelters; replacing signs; installing signposts; creating and applying decals; shoveling, operating a snow blower and snowplow; and performing other duties as assigned or required. Qualifications:Education: Qualified candidate must have a High School Diploma or equivalency. Certifications/Licenses: Must a valid Class C driver's license with a good driving record, crane and forklift certification are preferred; Experience: Previous work experience in construction, carpentry and/or electrical is preferred and must have a good work history; Proficiencies: Must be able to successfully navigate the six-county region driving a utility truck with a trailer in heavy traffic; Must be adept at using basic hand and power tools including pop rivet tool, electric drill and saw, strapping tool, and power washer; Must be able to work independently, safely, and professionally, with minimal supervision; Must possess strong interpersonal skills and strong oral and written communication skills, including grammar, spelling, and punctuation necessary to effectively perform job duties; Must have basic proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and other applications including Outlook, Word, Excel, and SharePoint; Physical requirements: Must be able to lift and carry up to 100 pounds, climb ladders as needed and be able to stand for extended periods of time; Working conditions: Work is performed indoors in an office and shop environment and outdoors in street and construction environment in all temperatures and weather conditions with exposure to fumes or airborne particles and loud noises. May be required to work evenings and weekends.
