Open to: General Public Work Week: 3-5 days per week (Up to 900 hours maximum per fiscal year) Hourly Rate:$18.00 per hour Opening Date: March 6, 2026 Closing Date: March 27, 2026 Existing Vacancies: 1 Program/Location Department of Environmental Protection Management and Budget Health, Safety & Facility Management Bureau of Support Services 401 East State Street Trenton, NJ 08625 Scope of Eligibility Open to applicants who meet the requirements below. Description Under direction of a Crew Supervisor, M/W Building Maintenance Workers or other supervisor in a state department, institution, or agency, may be assigned to work with mechanics, carpenters, electricians, painters, plumbers, and steam fitters in the trades as a helper; cleans and maintains offices, furniture, building, and grounds, and makes minor repairs; does other related duties as required. Specific to the Position Employees are assigned to warehouse duties consisting of archiving & retrieving boxed files. Employees are responsible for the inputting of information concerning new archives and updating box locations. Employees also pull boxed files specific to OPRA requests. These requests are on average of 70 to 100 boxes per day along with daily emergency OPRA box pulls. Employees assist our full time staff at the warehouses to help ensure that requests are completed within the 4 hour retrieval deadline. May require occasional driving of a state-owned vehicle. Requirements LICENSE: Appointees will be required to possess a driver's license valid in New Jersey only if the operation of a vehicle, rather than employee mobility, is necessary to perform essential duties of the position.
