QUALIFICATIONS/ABILITIES: 1-3 years in optical lab or manufacturing environment preferred. Aptitude and desire to continue learning new things. Exhibit a true team player attitude; personable, professional, flexible, with a high level of integrity. Ability to manage time through multi-tasking. Must be flexible and work well under pressure and easily adapt to change. Entail strong written and verbal communications, along with a positive attitude and strong work ethic. High levels of personal accountability; an ability to be responsible for your own actions. Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills; an ability to assimilate knowledge and then take appropriate action. Confidence and high levels of accomplishment. Familiarity with optical lens manufacturing processes is a plus. RESPONSIBILITIES - HOW THIS POSITION SUPPORTS THE VISION include the following, but are not limited to: Managing all priority orders through the entire production process/each stage ; intake/order verification, surfacing, coating/AR, edging, assembly, and final QA, to ensure timely progression. Manage workflow control by scheduling and routing as needed to accelerate priority jobs; assign workers and reorganize materials to maintain optimal flow. Proactively identify, communicate, and resolve delays or workflow issues; escalate critical concerns to the Operations Manager or Process Leads when necessary to manage bottleneck concerns. Enforce quality standards at each stage and verify that expedited jobs meet all specifications before advancing to the next step. Ensure expedited jobs meet promised delivery dates and quality expectations; communicate job status and ETAs to Customer Support, including immediate alerts for delays or quality holds and daily priority dashboard/report updates. Document and maintain accurate records of job status, delays, and corrective actions for reporting and continuous improvement. Collaboratively work closely with the Operations Manager and Process Leads to ensure smooth handoffs across all shifts. Complete any tasks assigned by process leads or any person in management. INDICATORS OF PERFORMANCE Compliance with all company policies. On-time completion rate for expedited jobs. Zero-defect compliance for priority orders. Communication SLA adherence (e.g., updates within 30 minutes of status change). Reduction in delays and bottlenecks for priority orders. Harmony with each functional team. IMPROVING THE SYSTEM All Fait Distribution Associates are responsible for documenting and fixing problems within the system. In addition, this role is responsible for improvement of project participation, planning, communicating, and implementing solutions where possible. PERSONAL IMPROVEMENT Fait Distribution will provide resources and support, relevant to the position, for education and training as needed. It is the Associate's responsibility to seek approval, schedule and participate in education and/or training that will prepare him/her for present and future needs. A recap post training may be required.
