The primary function of the Human Resources Benefits Manager is to develop, implement, administer, and maintain the policies relating to all aspects of personnel administration and benefit programs. Join a team that makes a difference - apply today and help us build a more supportive and engaging workplace!RequirementsQualifications and Experience Bachelor's degree in business administration/human resources preferred SHRM Certified Professional (SHRM-CP) or SHRM Senior Certified Professional (SHRMSCP) credential, and Certified Leave Management Specialist preferred Minimum of 3 years of HR related experience, preferably in a healthcare setting Knowledge of state and federal employment/labor laws, and practice policies Knowledge of compensation and benefits administration Knowledge of how to conduct wage/salary surveys; mediate personnel grievances/disputes; analyze human resources data for critical indicators Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize multiple tasks and demands Ability to maintain composure when confronted with stressful situations. Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with co-workers and providers Proficient in computer operations, Microsoft suite, data entry, and HRIS systems, maintaining detailed knowledge as it relates to job function High level of interpersonal skills to handle sensitive and confidential situations and documentation Attention to detail in composing, typing, and proofing materials, establishing priorities, and meeting deadlines Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, organizational skills, time management skills, and quality control skills Complies with HIPAA privacy and confidentiality guidelines established by the practice Responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following Ensures the accuracy of all benefits enrollments in the HRIS to provide vendors with accurate eligibility information Performs quality checks of benefits-related data Assists employees regarding benefits claim issues and plan changes Distributes all benefits enrollment materials and determines eligibility Enrolls employees with carriers and process life status changes Responds to benefits inquiries from managers and employees on plan provisions, benefits enrollments, status changes, and other general inquiries Oversees all leave-of-absence processes performed by Leave Benefits Manager, including requests and disability paperwork: medical, personal, disability, and FMLA Effectively interprets FMLA and ADA implications as they relate to leaves of absences/disabilities Responds to 401(k) inquiries from managers and employees relating to enrollments, plan changes, and contribution amounts Assists with the open enrollment process Provides necessary reports for allocation/billing charges Performs other duties as required and assigned by Manager, including schedule changes and travel to office locations as assigned From the mountains to the coast, EmergeOrtho is North Carolina's premier provider, recognized for offering world-class, comprehensive, and compassionate care serving patients with 60 locations in 28 counties.
