Who We Are Looking For: We seek enthusiastic individuals to ignite a passion for STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics) education in students. The ideal candidate will have a vibrant personality, a strong commitment to making a difference in children’s lives, and the creativity to make STEM subjects come alive through interactive learning experiences. This role requires providing constructive feedback, implementing an engaging curriculum, and collaborating effectively with team members. Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, are essential for interacting with students, their families, and colleagues. A Child abuse clearance and criminal background checks are mandatory. Experience Requirements: Minimum of 2 years of experience working with children, which may include roles such as academic/athletic tutor, camp counselor, or youth volunteer. Experience teaching STEM subjects for 1-5 years is preferred. Education Requirements: A Bachelor's degree is preferred but not required. Essential Job Responsibilities: Supervise and guide students in STEM subjects, creating a safe and exciting learning environment. Deliver dynamic STEM lessons to students aged 4 to 18, accommodating various skill levels. Foster fundamental STEM skills to improve students' knowledge and abilities. Manage group dynamics effectively, paying attention to behavior, health and safety, security, and personal development. Ensure the safety of all students and staff members. Organize and develop daily lesson plans in a creative and enjoyable manner. Utilize effective classroom management skills to facilitate a fun and inclusive atmosphere. Collaborate seamlessly with fellow Activity Specialists and fulfill daily responsibilities as a positive role model. Adhere to the Impact Kids Code of Conduct and maintain the organization's professional appearance at all times. Embody the core values of Impact Kids consistently and comply with all company policies. Enjoy the process of teaching and inspiring young minds! Working Conditions and Physical Requirements: Willingness to travel is essential. Ability to respond to emergencies that may require physical actions such as running and climbing stairs. The candidate should be in good physical condition to meet all responsibilities of this role.
