Job Title: Maintenance Technician (Electrical / Hydraulics) Industry: Foundry / Metals Manufacturing Shift: 1st Shift Pay: $30.00-$35.00/hr depending on experience Overview We're looking for a skilled Maintenance Technician with strong hands-on experience in an industrial manufacturing environment-specifically in a cast parts foundry producing large bronze and non-ferrous components. The ideal candidate will have deep knowledge in electrical schematics, troubleshooting heavy equipment, and working with hydraulic systems used in large machinery. First shift, steady role, hands on work. Responsibilities Diagnose and repair electrical, hydraulic, mechanical and pneumatic systems on heavy industrial machinery. Read and interpret electrical schematics, hydraulic diagrams, wiring diagrams, and technical manuals. Troubleshoot PLC-controlled equipment, heavy lathes, large CNC machining centers, large boring mills and cylindrical grinders used for machining castings. Maintain and repair hydraulic systems for large presses, centrifugally cast parts handling equipment, large bore/hydrostatic equipment used to support castings up to many feet in diameter. Perform preventive and predictive maintenance on production equipment, including large cast part machining centers (capable of outside diameters up to ~150 in), large bore grinders, large turning centers, and heavy material handling systems. Install, repair and maintain electrical wiring, control panels, sensors, servo/stepper motors, large AC/DC motors, and associated drive systems. Repair and maintain hydraulic pumps, valves, cylinders, manifold blocks, and power units associated with large diameter machining or bearing/bushing manufacturing. Maintain accurate maintenance logs and communicate equipment status and downtime quickly to supervisors. Ensure all work meets safety and compliance requirements for foundry, machining and heavy equipment operations. Requirements Minimum 3+ years of maintenance experience in manufacturing or heavy industrial environment, preferably in foundry, heavy casting machining, or non-ferrous metal manufacturing. Strong electrical troubleshooting and repair skills - ability to read and apply electrical schematics and hydraulic diagrams. Experience working with hydraulic systems and repairing pumps, valves, cylinders, power units. Experience working on heavy machining equipment (large lathes, boring mills, CNC machining centers, large grinders, large diameter shaft/pipe machining) or heavy foundry support equipment. Familiarity with PLC-controlled systems, servo drives, and ability to interface with control logic is a plus. Ability to use multimeters, diagnostic tools, standard shop tools, hydraulic pressure gauges, etc. Ability to lift and manipulate components up to 50 lbs and work in a production environment with large heavy equipment. Welding/fabrication experience is a plus but not required. Preferred Skills Experience in maintenance of large?scale machining equipment for cast parts (outside diameter > 100 in, lengths up to ~80 in) as used in foundry machining operations. Mechanical repair experience on conveyors, large presses, large bore machines, heavy material handling systems. Experience with predictive maintenance programs, condition monitoring, vibration analysis, bearing/bushing repair or large machine rebuilds.
