Lead Preconstruction Manager - Commercial Interiors A prominent and expanding commercial interiors construction firm is in search of a Lead Preconstruction Manager to spearhead preconstruction initiatives for intricate interior build-outs and renovations within corporate, healthcare, life sciences, higher education, and commercial office settings. Key Responsibilities of the Lead Preconstruction Manager: Direct and manage the entire preconstruction process for commercial interiors projects from initial concept to Guaranteed Maximum Price (GMP). Oversee budgeting, estimating, value engineering, and cost modeling for interior renovations and build-outs. Generate conceptual, schematic, and detailed estimates leveraging market data and historical cost insights. Examine drawings and specifications to pinpoint scope gaps, constructability challenges, and cost concerns. Work collaboratively with clients, architects, engineers, and internal operations teams to ensure alignment on scope, schedule, and budget. Assist in the development of project schedules and tracking key milestones during the preconstruction phase. Prepare comprehensive trade scopes, bid packages, and subcontractor comparisons. Offer strategic advice regarding interior systems, finishes, phasing, and occupied-space construction. Mentor junior estimators and drive continuous enhancements in preconstruction processes. Qualifications for the Lead Preconstruction Manager: 8+ years of experience in commercial interiors construction. Solid foundation in preconstruction, estimating, and project delivery. Demonstrated expertise with corporate interiors, healthcare interiors, life sciences, or higher-education projects. Capable of managing multiple projects in fast-paced, deadline-oriented settings. Outstanding communication, leadership, and client engagement skills. Bachelor's degree in Construction Management or a related field preferred (experience may be considered in lieu).
