Ideal candidates are comfortable managing complex swallowing and cognitive-communication cases, including ICU and neurological patients. Job Details: Location: Canton, Georgia, 30115 (No local candidates within 50 miles) Contract Duration: 13 weeks Shift: 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM (varies), 40 Guaranteed Hours Weekend Requirement: Minimum 2 weekends every 4 weeks (facility prefers 4/4 weekends) Requirements: 2+ years of experience in Speech-Language Pathology specialty Active SLP license Certifications: Basic Life Support (BLS), Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP) Prior acute care hospital experience strongly preferred Preferred Skills Experience with swallowing diagnostics such as: • Modified Barium Swallow Study (MBS) • Fiberoptic Endoscopic Evaluation of Swallowing (FEES) Unit Information: Setting: Acute Care Speech Therapy Department Patient Population: Adults and Geriatrics across medical and surgical units Common Diagnoses / Conditions: • Stroke and neurological disorders • Dysphagia • Respiratory compromise • Cognitive-communication deficits • General medical and surgical conditions If you meet the requirements and are ready to move forward, reach out for full facility details, interview timeline, and next steps to secure this assignment.
