We provide a comprehensive range of technology consulting services to assist state and local agencies in addressing operational challenges and enhancing user experiences.About the RoleWe are on the lookout for a skilled Data Migration and Integration Specialist to spearhead the transition of legacy data into a modern SaaS platform. This role demands a unique combination of technical expertise and business insight. Your responsibilities will encompass executing data conversion tasks while also working directly with clients to understand their data frameworks, business processes, and to ensure accurate mapping into the new system.Key Responsibilities: Data Analysis & Conversion: Evaluate legacy data sources and devise conversion strategies for SaaS implementations. Execute data extraction, transformation, and loading (ETL) using relevant tools. Ensure data integrity and accuracy post-migration. Safeguard client data, including managing Personal Identifiable Information (PII). Client Engagement & Leadership: Lead client meetings to gather requirements, clarify business processes, and identify data dependencies. Translate business workflows into data mapping for the new platform. Act as a trusted advisor, guiding clients through best practices for data conversion. Collaboration: Coordinate with project managers, developers, and QA teams to ensure seamless integration. Document conversion processes and provide training or support as necessary. Documentation & Methodology: Develop and implement Data Management strategies aligned with project and organizational goals. Update and maintain data management methodology documents and supporting materials, ensuring they are current and reusable across projects. Contribute to the creation of training materials and knowledge transfer documentation for internal and client stakeholders. Support data governance use cases, including documenting standards, processes, and controls related to data quality, lineage, and stewardship. Required Qualifications: 5+ years of hands-on experience in data conversion, migration, and ETL processes, including extracting data from legacy systems and loading it into new platforms. 5+ years of experience in designing, building, and executing ETL or data integration workflows using integration tools or custom scripts. Additional Qualifications: Proficiency in ETL, SQL/MySQL, XML, Data Bricks, Microsoft Excel, and stored procedures. Basic coding skills in languages such as Python and JavaScript. Experience with relational databases, including tables, views, queries, T-SQL, and stored procedures. Experience in leading data requirements sessions with customers and/or team members. Participation in at least one complete software implementation lifecycle. Understanding of the full software implementation lifecycle, including data requirements gathering and migration. 3+ years of experience in collaborating with cross-organizational partners to define requirements and resolve data issues. 3+ years of experience in mapping, transforming, and loading data from source to target systems. Experience in a Data Conversion work stream during a software implementation. Working Conditions: Office Setting Some travel required This position requires a hybrid work setup with travel/onsite obligations.
