Nurses in this area maintain a 1:6 patient-to-nurse ratio. Training includes all aspects of postoperative care, with a focus on pain management, mobility, and bedside procedures. The team values a comfortable and healing environment for each patient and their unique needs. Collaboration with local family practice physicians, hospitalists, and surgeons is integral to this role. Holidays and every other weekend work are required.
