CDL Yard Driver

Position Purpose: As a CDL Yard Driver, you will play a crucial role in maintaining yard organization and safely maneuvering trailers at dock doors and throughout the yard. Your responsibilities may also include transporting trailers to offsite locations and nearby distribution centers. Additionally, you will be expected to update trailer movements and yard activities using a hand-held device. Key Responsibilities: 10% Perform general warehouse tasks as needed. 80% Conduct daily inspections on yard equipment; drive yard trucks and spot trailers at designated locations. 10% Ensure yard accuracy by utilizing the Yard Management System. Direct Manager/Direct Reports: This position reports to the Operations Manager. This position has 0 Direct Reports. Travel Requirements: No travel required. Physical Requirements: Requires intermittent periods of physical exertion, such as walking, standing, stooping, climbing, and lifting heavy items or equipment. Working Conditions: Comfortable work environment with regular exposure to moderate physical discomfort from dust, fumes, or odors. Some travel between locations may be necessary. Minimum Qualifications: Must be legally permitted to work in the United States. Must be 21 years of age or older. Valid, active Commercial Driver's License. Able to load and unload heavy items. Preferred Qualifications: No additional qualifications are required. Minimum Education: A high school diploma and/or GED is preferred. Preferred Education: No additional education required.
