Responsibilities Work in the PACU (Post Anesthesia Care Unit) of a hospital Care for adolescent through geriatric patients across all surgery disciplines Night shift schedule with three 12-hour shifts per week (20:00–08:30) Patient ratio is 1:2 Required to float within facility and scope of practice as needed On-call and backup coverage required on weekdays and weekends as scheduled in a 6-week rotation Electronic systems include Epic (EMR), Pyxis, and SBAR Scrubs are provided by the facility First-time travelers are welcome to apply Must be able to work every other weekend as needed Must work major holidays that fall within the assignment, based on the number occurring during contract period No blocked scheduling permitted Maximum of 7 days of requested time off allowed, none during the first week Local candidates are accepted at the same rate Orientation scheduling may delay start if compliance is not met on time Travel pairs cannot be assigned the same shift in the same unit Return travelers must complete one successful assignment outside the health system if flagged as ineligible at any facility Requirements Active GA or compact RN license required Minimum of one year recent PACU RN experience Current BLS and ACLS certifications required Experience with Epic, Pyxis, and SBAR preferred Two supervisory references from managers or above required Applicants must not have worked at any Piedmont facility within the past year Benefits High Pay and Bonuses Medical, Dental and Vision Insurance with Day 1 Options 401(k) Plan Weekly Payroll Deposit Free Online CEUs Generous Housing Allowance Travel and Licensure Reimbursements Non-taxed Per Diem and Subsidy Traveler Rewards and Discounts American Traveler Job ID #P-670474.
