AWS Data Integration group is a rapidly expanding division within Amazon Web Services (AWS), recognized for its innovative cloud services in big data platforms, data analytics, and operational databases. Glue is our cutting-edge serverless platform focused on Data Analytics, emphasizing Zero-ETL, ETL, and delivering an outstanding experience for Data Analysts and Engineers. Our mission is to transform Data Analytics, simplifying and accelerating data queries for our customers. We are currently developing a state-of-the-art data replication service designed to allow customers to effortlessly replicate SaaS application data into Transactional Data Lakes and Data Warehouses. We are enhancing our backend infrastructure to achieve super-low latencies for interactive jobs, scaling to levels unprecedented in the industry. Our team oversees both Product and Backend, providing a unique and fulfilling experience. Key Responsibilities: Convert functional and technical requirements into a detailed architecture, design, and scalable code. Lead a talented team of engineers through complex projects as a technical guide. Promote industry best practices to ensure the development of reliable, robust, and high-quality code. Code and test intricate system modules; develop and utilize frameworks for enhanced efficiency. Engage in architecture, design, and code reviews to uphold our high development standards. Own the system architecture, ensuring reliability, scalability, and performance. Collaborate and influence other teams to deliver and maintain large-scale, distributed services in the cloud. BASIC QUALIFICATIONS: 3+ years of experience in managing engineering teams. 7+ years of experience working in engineering teams. 3+ years of experience in designing or architecting systems, focusing on design patterns, reliability, and scalability. 8+ years of experience leading the development of multi-tier web services. Proficient knowledge of engineering practices and patterns throughout the entire software/hardware/networks development lifecycle, including standards for coding, reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, certification, and operations. Experience collaborating with product or program management teams. PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: Skill in communicating with users, technical teams, and senior leadership to gather requirements, outline software product features, technical designs, and product strategy. Experience in recruiting, hiring, mentoring, coaching, and managing teams of Software Engineers to enhance their skills and effectiveness. The base salary range for this role is $184,900.00 - $250,200.00 annually, with additional sign-on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs). Total compensation is influenced by experience, qualifications, and location.
