They are currently seeking an experienced IFS Consultant to join their internal IT team to optimize and support their enterprise-wide ERP implementation across their diverse operating companies. Position Overview The IFS Consultant will serve as the primary internal subject matter expert for the company's IFS Applications environment. This role acts as a bridge between business operations (Construction Projects, Field Service, Finance, and Supply Chain) and the technical capabilities of the ERP system. You will be responsible for driving solution design, configuration, user support, and continuous improvement to ensure the platform supports the company's growth and operational excellence. Key Responsibilities System Optimization & Support: Provide Tier 2/3 functional and technical support for IFS Applications (Cloud/Apps 10) to users across multiple subsidiary companies. Integration & Solution Scoping: Oversee the management of system integrations and middleware. Utilize pre-sales/solution engineering skills to evaluate new requirements, demo functionality to internal stakeholders, and scope effective solutions that solve business pain points. Business Process Analysis: Partner with stakeholders in Finance, Project Management, and Field Service to analyze workflows and map business requirements to IFS standard solutions. Implementation & Upgrades: Lead or assist in the rollout of new modules, updates, and major version upgrades. Manage User Acceptance Testing (UAT) and validation cycles. Configuration: Manage system configuration, user profiles, and permission sets. Create specifications for custom objects (Lobbies, Events, Reports) when standard functionality requires extension. Reporting & Analytics: Design and maintain operational reports using IFS reporting tools (Report Designer, Quick Reports), SQL, or Power BI to provide real-time visibility into project profitability and resource utilization. Training & Adoption: Develop training materials and standard operating procedures (SOPs). Conduct training sessions to ensure consistent best practices across all business units. Requirements Qualifications Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business Administration, or equivalent professional experience. Experience: 3-8 years of hands-on experience supporting or implementing IFS Applications (Experience with IFS Cloud, Apps 10, or Apps 9 preferred). Integration or Pre-Sales Experience (Required): Must possess either technical knowledge regarding ERP integrations (APIs, Dell Boomi, REST/SOAP) OR a background in functional Pre-Sales (solution demoing, scoping, and requirements engineering). Strong functional knowledge in at least two of the following areas: Project Management (IFS Projects), Service Management, Supply Chain, or Finance. Prior experience in the Construction, Engineering, Specialty Contracting, or Field Service industries is highly preferred. Technical Skills: Proficiency in SQL/PL/SQL for data querying and troubleshooting. Experience with IFS Data Migration, Custom Events, and Lobbies. Familiarity with Crystal Reports or Power BI is a plus. Soft Skills: Strong analytical mindset with the ability to translate technical issues for non-technical stakeholders (e.g., Project Managers, Site Foremen, Accountants).
