Job Title: Senior SAP S/4 HANA Developer Position Type: Contract Location: Washington, DC NO H1, OPT AND CPT PROFILES Job Description Seeking a highly skilled Senior SAP S/4 HANA Developer for a prestigious client located in Washington, D.C. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in SAP S/4 HANA development, a strong understanding of business processes, and a proven track record of delivering high-quality solutions in a dynamic environment. Key Responsibilities: Lead the design, development, and implementation of SAP S/4 HANA solutions. Collaborate with business stakeholders to gather requirements and translate them into technical specifications. Develop custom SAP applications and enhancements using ABAP, CDS Views, and other relevant technologies. Perform system configurations and support integration efforts with other enterprise systems. Ensure the delivery of high-quality solutions by conducting thorough testing and debugging. Provide technical leadership and mentorship to junior developers. Stay current with the latest SAP technologies and industry trends to drive continuous improvement. Required Qualifications: MS degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field. SAP technical certification in the product being supported. Certification in at least one formal development methodology. Minimum of eight years of experience in designing, building, and deploying solutions developed using SAP Technology (ABAP). Involvement in at least two full cycle SAP implementations and at least one S/4 HANA Migration. Knowledge of change and release management processes. Ability to translate business requirements into technology solutions. Ability to estimate reliably the time, effort, dependencies, and resources required to complete a development task. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Experience working in client-focused service delivery environments. Required Skills & Experience: Extensive technical experience implementing enterprise-grade financial systems, applications, integrations, and infrastructure. Hands-on experience with ABAP on HANA, ABAP Objects, Business Workflows, BAPI, BADIs, User exits, RFC, Smart Forms, ALE/EDI, BDC, ALV, ODATA services, AMDP, and CDS Views. Experience in supporting SAP PI/PO Integrations and building ABAP Proxy classes. Experience in custom ABAP code remediation as part of SAP ECC to S/4 HANA migration. Knowledge of FIORI (SAPUI5) and ABAP RESTful programming model is a plus. Familiarity with SAP systems, applications, integrations, and infrastructure. General understanding of SAP modules: FICO, SD, MM, HR. Experience with On-Premises and Cloud Application Management and Support. Experience with SAP Finance HANA implementation. Knowledge of REDWOOD SAP Batch scheduling process. Demonstrated technical experience in a Subject Matter Expert capacity. SQL Query Development and Execution. Extract, Transform, and Load (ETL) Technologies. Strong experience with and general knowledge of other IT disciplines including IT Strategy, IT Operations, Enterprise Architecture. Excellent communication skills, working collaboratively with others, including senior executives. Proven ability to build and maintain relationships both within the business and with external/internal customers. Experience driving change in large nation-wide organizations. Extensive experience in programming and/or systems analysis. Broad understanding of information systems and application architecture standards. Skill Set (Must Have): Prior experience working with financial reporting, financial systems, financial and audit processes. Strong ability to communicate technical concepts, terms, and language to technical and non-technical audiences. Excellent debugging and troubleshooting experience. Functional knowledge of various application components involving FI, AP, AR, CO & PS. Experience with SAP FI/CO/AR/SD/AP/PS. Prior experience with ECC Migration to S/4 HANA including custom code.
