Salary: $11.00 - $13.00 Hourly Location : Baraboo, WI Job Type: Seasonal Job Number: 2026-01 Department: PARK Division: RECREATION Opening Date: 01/20/2026 Closing Date: 3/31/2026 4:00 PM Central General PurposeVarious part-time flexible hours available.Minimum Requirements: Must be at least 14 years of age Must be able to demonstrate/explain the skills to be learned by participants Must enjoy working with youth and adults Essential Job Functions and ResponsibilitiesDemonstrate the movements and fundamental skills associated with a sport or other outdoor recreation activity such as baseball, basketball, canoeing, gymnastics, soccer, softball, tennis, volleyball, etc. in a way that is age group appropriate Assist with the set-up and take down of the activity area and the proper storage of all equipment associated with the activity Communicate the basic techniques, rules, and proper use of equipment needed for conducting the specific activity Foster an understanding and appreciation of the different levels of maturity and skills between the program participants even with children of the same age Assist the Supervisor/Coordinator with recruiting coaches Interact with program participants, families, and coaches in a positive and enthusiastic way Assist the Supervisor/Coordinator with resolving potential conflicts between coaches, parents, program participants, and other staff members in a courteous manner Assist the Supervisor in ensuring the safety and well being of program participants, coaches, and staff Work independently as well as in a team atmosphere Attend staff meetings, orientation, and training sessions as required Assist with program registration and revenue collection along as needed Contact the Supervisor, Recreation Coordinator or Department Director in the case of an accident/injury to a program participant, coach, staff member, or other person(s) related to the program and activate EMS as needed Report any vandalism, graffiti, or other problems observed at a program facility Advise the Supervisor, Recreation Coordinator or Department Director of any suspicious person(s), vehicle(s), or any activity generally considered to be unwholesome or illegal Other related tasks as assigned QualificationsPrevious experience in planning, coordinating, and conducting sports or other youth program activities in an organizational setting First Aid/CPR certification No Benefits are offered for this position.
