Excellence - If it has to be perfect, it has to be Super! Position Description The Senior Applications Engineer is a high-visibility engineering position within Super Radiator Coils. This position requires advanced engineering knowledge in the field of mechanical engineering, particularly in the thermal and fluid sciences. This individual has the ability to lead and execute complex projects. The Senior Applications Engineer interfaces with customers, gathers and applies the requirements of relevant design specifications, performs engineering analysis, generates proposals, wins contracts, then interfaces with designers and key manufacturing personnel to see the project through completion in our in-house fabrication facilities. Major Responsibilities: Rate, design, and engineer heat exchangers based on customer design specifications Work with clients, develop and win proposals through engineering and relationship excellence Drive project success through engineering and support of key SRC project leaders Support peer engineers through teamwork and problem solving Support the development of product engineering libraries through collaboration and knowledge sharing Lead by mentoring entry level engineers Travel 2-3 days every 3-4 months as needed to support clients #SRCZIP RequirementsQualifications: BS in mechanical engineering, thermal & fluid sciences MS in mechanical engineering a plus Minimum 8 years' experience Experience with ASME BP&V Code (Section III, VIII) preferred Experience with heat exchangers (finned tube or shell and tube) preferred Excellent detail orientation and organizational skills, particularly as applied to complex projects Ability to work with client engineers, SRC designers, quality personnel and fabricators Ability to meet strict customer specifications, and capture document deliverables Experience in metal fabrication and make-to-order manufacturing a plus. Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
