We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Controller to join our team and manage the financial operations of our dealership. Job Description: As the Controller, you will be responsible for overseeing all financial and accounting functions of the dealership. This includes Hanna Imports, Sanford Imports, Infiniti of Wilmington and Infiniti of Apex. This role requires a strategic thinker with a strong background in accounting, financial reporting, and compliance. You will work closely with the executive team to ensure the dealership's financial health and operational efficiency. Key Responsibilities: Manage the dealership's financial operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and general ledger. Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and reports. Oversee the preparation and submission of tax returns, ensuring compliance with local, state, and federal regulations. Develop and implement financial policies, procedures, and internal controls to safeguard assets and ensure accurate financial reporting. Collaborate with department managers to create and manage budgets, forecasts, and financial plans. Monitor and analyze key performance indicators (KPIs) to drive financial performance and profitability. Lead and mentor the accounting team, fostering a culture of accuracy, accountability, and continuous improvement. Conduct regular audits to ensure compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements. Provide financial analysis and insights to support strategic decision-making. Coordinate with external auditors during annual audits and manage relationships with banks, vendors, and other financial partners. Qualifications: OEM experience preferred Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (CPA or CMA preferred). Proven experience as a Controller, preferably in the automotive industry. Strong knowledge of accounting principles, financial reporting, and tax regulations. Proficiency with accounting software (e.g., Dealertrack, CDK) and Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel. Exceptional analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills. Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities. High attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy. Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. Experience leading and developing a team is a plus.
